Supernatural: Christmas at Bobbys

Christmas eve had been filled with beers and cheesy Christmas specials and Dean wouldn't have had it any other way. Sam crashed somewhere between the Muppets Christmas carol and the 8th whisky shot, and Cas had showed up soon after. He sat beside Dean at the very end of the couch, but then sasquatch started snuffling and shifting about, drooping sideways slowly and surely un till he was taking up half the couch with his head pillowed on Deans thigh. Seeking out the nearest source of warmth, just like when he was 8 and he and Dean had stayed up late, waiting for dad to come home or for some black and white movie to finish.

But now Cas and Dean were practically sitting on top of each other.

Dean eyed Sams zonked out carcass, heavy as ever and kinda unmovable, tinsel in his hair, limbs tangled in a way that looked unatural. He couldn’t help but wonder if he’d done it on purpose.

"There's not much room," Cas noted, his hip flush against Deans and Dean laughed.
"Are you seriously bringing up personal space?" he asked, his arm twitching at the back of the couch, awkward and uncomfortable but the only place it would fit. Cas looked up at him, tearing his eyes from the grainy tv, a smile, just this small little thing, sitting on his face.
"I didn't say it was a problem" he clarified and Dean blinked.

If his arm ended up about the Angels neck instead of behind the couch, that was just because it was more comfortable.

Sam could say whatever he wanted.
